Sergey A. Dorofeev, President of the Licensing Executives Society Russia (LES Russia), together with LES Russia members Natalia N. Karpova, Vitaly I. Kastalsky, Sergey V. Medvedev, Sergey V. Vasiliev, Viktor M. Stankovsky, Yaroslava A. Gorbunova, Darya D. Lando, Dmitry Yu. Markanov and Veronika Yu. Odintsova, attended the Conference “Effective Management of Intellectual Property Rights in Current Market Conditions”. The Conference was organized by the Vedomosti business newspaper in partnership with LES Russia and held in St. Petersburg.
The Conference was opened by Sergey Dorofeev, who spoke about the establishment, development and potential of LES Russia.
Vitaly Kastalsky moderated and spoke at the session “The Development of Intellectual Property Rights Law: From Imperial Russia to the Present Day,” while Sergey Medvedev moderated the session “Legal Nuances and Risks in Dealing with Intellectual Property Assets.”
The Conference addressed current issues relating to the development of intellectual property rights law in Russia, the legal aspects of intellectual property transactions, the protection and enforcement of IP rights, measures to combat infringement, and the commercialization of intellectual property rights. The event brought together approximately 100 participants.
In her closing remarks, Natalia Karpova, Vice-President of LES Russia, expressed the hope that a successful conference of this scale would help raise the profile of LES Russia and attract new members from the professional community.
