On 9 December 2010, the International Seminar “Patent Portfolio Development and Management”, organised by the Russian Chapter of the Licensing Executives Society International (LES Russia), was held in Moscow.
Leading experts spoke at the seminar: Michael O’Shaughnessy and James Barney, Finnegan LLP, USA — “Strategies for Developing, Managing and Protecting a Patent Portfolio. The U.S. Approach”; Adrianus Deijvestijn, Philips, the Netherlands — “Developing One’s Own Business in Parallel with Licensing”; D.B. Shulgin, Doctor of Economics, Intellectual Property Centre of Ural Federal University, Russia — “Organisation of Patent Activities at Ural Federal University”; V.N. Tyunyaev, PhD in Engineering, VALCON Centre for Environmental, Scientific, Technical and Socio-Cultural Initiatives, Russia — “Specific Features of Managing a Patent Portfolio of Socially Significant Inventions: The Russian Neutronic Project as an Example”.
A round table was held at the conclusion of the seminar.
In total, around 40 specialists from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus took part in the seminar.
