LES Russia held a round-table discussion in Moscow to consider an initiative by the Council on Intellectual Property under the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation to amend Federal Law No. 316-FZ of 30 December 2008 “On Patent Attorneys.”
The participants, most of whom were Russian patent attorneys, discussed the amendments of greatest importance to the professional community. Their adoption would help significantly improve the quality of professional services and establish ethical standards for the patent attorney profession.
Following the discussion, the participants voted on the key issues and drafted a resolution, which was subsequently submitted to the Council on Intellectual Property under the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent).
