The Licensing Executives Society Russia (LES Russia) held a seminar in Moscow entitled “Transactions Involving Exclusive Rights: 2019 Review.”
Sergey V. Medvedev, Ph.D. in Law, LL.M., Partner at Gorodissky & Partners and member of LES Russia, delivered a presentation on pledges involving intellectual property rights.
Elena A. Morgunova, Ph.D. in Law, Associate Professor and Deputy Head of the Civil Law Department at Kutafin Moscow State Law University, discussed contractual mechanisms for transactions involving exclusive rights in light of recent amendments to Russian legislation and new guidance issued by the country’s highest judicial authority.
V.V. Antipin, General Director of the Institute of Market and Intellectual Property and former Adviser to the Deputy General Director of the Krylov State Research Centre, discussed the specific aspects of transactions involving exclusive rights to intellectual property created with funding from the federal budget.
Natalia N. Karpova, Doctor of Economics, Professor and Head of Department at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), presented a report on the practical aspects of transactions involving exclusive rights to various intellectual property assets.
The seminar was attended by approximately 25 participants.
