Opening of the LES Russia Regional Chapter in the Republic of Tatarstan
On 12 November, an official ceremony marking the opening of the LES Russia regional chapter in the Republic of Tatarstan was held during the 3rd International Forum “Intellectual Property and the Economy of Russia’s Regions” in Kazan.

On 12 November, an official ceremony marking the opening of the LES Russia regional chapter in the Republic of Tatarstan was held during the 3rd International Forum “Intellectual Property and the Economy of Russia’s Regions” in Kazan.
The ceremony was attended by Roman Shaykhutdinov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan; representatives of the Government and ministries of the Russian Federation, law firms and patent organizations; a representative of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO); the Head of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property; and many other distinguished guests.
During the ceremony, an agreement was signed between the Kama Innovative Territorial and Production Cluster INNOKAM and the Licensing Executives Society Russia (LES Russia). The parties agreed to establish and develop a long-term partnership, including the development of a partnership network in the field of innovation and the promotion of initiatives relating to intellectual property protection. The agreement was signed by Rafinat Yarullin, President of INNOKAM, and Sergey Dorofeev, Secretary of LES Russia.
The ceremony was followed by the round-table discussion “Technology Imports and Exports: International IP Protection Practices and Corporate Cooperation. LES International: Professional Networking for Technology Trade and Transfer Specialists.”
The discussion was moderated by Albert Ibragimov, Partner, Regional Director and Russian Patent Attorney at Gorodissky & Partners in Kazan. Sergey Dorofeev, Partner, Russian and Eurasian Patent Attorney at Gorodissky & Partners in Moscow and Secretary of LES Russia, participated as a speaker.
The round table brought together executives and representatives of major regional companies, including Tatneft and Nefis Bioproduct, as well as universities, including Kazan Federal University and Kazan National Research Technological University.
