International Seminar “Technology Transfer in Modern Conditions. Licensing Trade”
On 11 December 2009, the International Seminar “Technology Transfer in Modern Conditions. Licensing Trade”, organised by the Russian Chapter of the Licensing Executives Society International (LES Russia), was held in Moscow.

On 11 December 2009, the International Seminar “Technology Transfer in Modern Conditions. Licensing Trade”, organised by the Russian Chapter of the Licensing Executives Society International (LES Russia), was held in Moscow.
The seminar was attended by 28 participants from Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg), Belarus (Minsk) and Ukraine (Kyiv). The participants included representatives of science, business and venture companies, rights holders, patent attorneys, and lawyers from Russian and foreign companies.
The presentations by Russian speakers were devoted to such important issues as problems of technology exchange; specific features of structuring intellectual property transactions under current Russian legislation; preparation of agreements for various intellectual property transactions; determining the price of intellectual property in agreements; and other matters.
Mr Ian O’Connell, Director of Musion Systems Ltd. (United Kingdom), took part in the seminar and shared his experience in technology transfer using his company’s global intellectual property licensing strategy as an example.
The presentations submitted for discussion generated lively interest among the seminar participants. At the end of the seminar, during a “blitz survey”, each participant expressed their opinion, suggestions and comments. The participants highly appreciated both the content of the seminar and its organisation.
