The Licensing Executives Society Russia (LES Russia) organised a round-table discussion entitled “Current Issues in Using Intellectual Property in the New Economic Environment” as part of the Scientific and Practical Conference “Current Issues in the Legal Protection and Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights.”
The round-table discussion was co-moderated by Natalia N. Karpova, Doctor of Economics, Professor at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) and Vice President of LES Russia, and Alexander M. Vakhnin, Patent Attorney at Vakhnina & Partners and member of the LES Russia Board.
Natalia Karpova delivered a presentation entitled “Changes to the Regulatory Framework Following the Russian Government’s Approval of the Roadmap ‘Business Climate Transformation: Intellectual Property.’” Sergey V. Vasiliev, Ph.D. in Law, Partner and Russian Patent Attorney at Gorodissky & Partners and member of LES Russia, presented “Use of Databases: The Right to Information vs Intellectual Property Rights.”
LES Russia members V.Yu. Odintsova, Ph.D. in Law, Lawyer and Patent Attorney at Euromarkpat, and Jennet A. Abduraimova of the Skolkovo Intellectual Property Centre also delivered presentations. Their respective topics were “Practice of the Rospatent Appeals Commission: What Patent Attorneys and Candidates Need to Know” and “Overview of Recent Developments and Prospects for Addressing Legislative Issues Concerning Remuneration for Employee-Created Intellectual Property.”
The conference was organised by the Patent Attorneys Chamber and held in Vinogradovo, Moscow Region.
