The Licensing Executives Society Russia (LES Russia) held a round-table discussion entitled “Practical Aspects of Intellectual Property in Light of New Provisions of Russian Law.” The event was moderated by Natalia N. Karpova, Vice President of LES Russia, Doctor of Economics, Professor and Head of Department at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).
The speakers included:
Nikolay Bogdanov discussed developments in intellectual property legislation in 2023. Eduard Shablin addressed new approaches to assessing the unity of invention and their impact on patent strategy. Nikolay Ptitsyn presented a report entitled “Licensing and Franchising as Tools for the Commercialisation of Means of Individualisation.” Sergey Medvedev gave participants an overview of the development of Russian international franchising relations, using the UAE as a case study.
